Avoid rapid temperature change from hot to cold, or cold to hot; this can crack a gem. Avoid exposure to hydrofluoric acid which can attach this gem. Aqua is light-stable and safely cleaned by ultrasonic, ionic, or manually with a fine jewelry cleaner such as Jewel Brite, available on this site.
