Aquamarine
Aquamarine
Explore the beauty of Aquamarine gemstones, the sister of the Emerald. A member of the Beryl family, Aquamarine remains one of the best-selling gemstones of all time, due in large part to its blue to greenish-blue, watery tones and uplifting character. The most sought-after hues are medium to dark blues, with less green. The deeper, truer the blue, the more costly the gem becomes. Considered a very good gem for everyday wear, it is also the birthstone for March. Invariably, Aquamarine is paired with diamond accents, creating a great blaze of reflectivity and elegance, suitable with any color of clothing.
Diamond
Diamond
Always in high demand, the Diamond remains at the top of the list of special gems for those in love. Fine diamonds demand fine prices, and the gem is more interesting as you study it. The perfect reflector of light, Diamonds come (naturally, or enhanced) in many hues, from pink, to green, to dark blue, to purple and red. Those lucky enough to be born in April can claim the Diamond as their birthstone! Diamond prices are influenced most by the quality of their: Clarity, Color, Cut quality, and Carat size.
Emerald
Emerald
Considered by most to be the 'Queen of Gemstones,' it is hard to escape the romance and lure of the Emerald. Often the gem, in high quality, surpasses the price of a fine diamond of equal size. Though found in many parts of the world, the most prized of Emeralds still emanate from Colombia. Other major sources include Brazil, Russia, Afghanistan, India and Pakistan.
Ruby
Ruby
Sometimes called the King of Gems, the Ruby bespeaks centuries of royalty, passion and mysticism. Often the most costly colored gemstone, the beauty of Ruby is captured also in the gem-quality, superb lab-created Chatham™ Ruby, equal in chemical, physical and optical characteristics to hand-mined Ruby, and available now at a mere fraction of the cost of a mined Ruby.
Citrine
Citrine
Everyone loves Citrine, with colors from light yellow, to golden, to orange, to deep brownish red-orange. The deeper red-oranges are sometimes called Madeira Citrine. It's a joyful gem, good for everyday wear, and a member of the Quartz family.
Sapphire
Sapphire
Arguably the best known gem, many still think of Sapphire as blue. While blue may be the best selling color for this famous gem, Sapphire comes in a host of colors, from white (clear), to black (a blue that is so dark and dense that it looks black and opaque), including yellow, pink, purple, orange, red, brown, green, and everything in between. All of these occur naturally, and certain colors (typically blue, green and yellow) are more frequently heated than others, to deepen their color. Sapphire is the next gem to diamond in hardness and is excellent for everyday wear.
Topaz
Topaz
With a distinctively rich palette of colors, Topaz is still most closely associated with the deep golden yellow hue, now called Precious (or Golden) Topaz. Alongside this color lies one even more distinctive and costly, a delicate peachy pink. Made famous in Russia, this latter color is referred to as Imperial Topaz, rivaling the finest sapphires in appearance and clarity. More recently, the gem has seen new treatments that offer beauty, variety and good value. Daniel Swarovski's line of ENLIGHTENED™ Passion Topaz®, ushers in a host of permanent, durable colors, capable of being cleaned ultrasonically.
Garnet
Garnet
One of nature's broadest, most colorful gemstone families. The birthstone for January. Garnets are found in mint to brilliant green, light to brilliant orange, orange-red, purple, pink, yellow, brown, red, and everything in between. Everything but blue! Amongst the most prized garnets are Tsavorite (a brilliant, saturated green, the primary source for which is Kenya) and Demantoid (famous for its terrific brilliance, and in rarer cases, its "horsehair" inclusions).

Think Garnets are red stones? They can be, but did you know they can be just about any other color, too? It's true. Any color but blue.
