Overview
Classic design, unmistakably fresh and beautiful!
Description

Reminiscent of a rose garden! It consists of nearly a third-carat each of two gorgeous enhanced diamond colors (approx. .30 carat VS1 rich violet purple, and approx. .31 carat VS1 lush dark green), surrounding a VS clarity medium green Colombian emerald of approximately 1.72 carats! All of this is meticulously set into a finely detailed solid 14K white gold vintage style mounting. Not only a showpiece of a ring, but a fantastic buy, AND one of a kind! Don't miss the opportunity to own this gorgeous collection of rare gems.

Not reproducible at the offered price if out of stock.

TREATMENTS:  (IRRADIATED DIAMONDS) The violet purple and dark green diamonds featured in this ring are natural diamonds that have undergone common gamma irradiation treatment and high-heat, high-pressure treatment to finish--then set--the color as permanent. Even though the color is imparted through radiation, violet/purple still remains one of the rarest and highest priced of the colored diamonds, as only a very small percent of irradiated diamonds become this color. After a period of several hours the diamonds no longer retain the radiation and are then released for sale and use in fine jewelry.
(GENUINE EMERALD) Because Emerald is very likely to show many natural "inclusions" (internal clarity characteristics that may be visible to the naked eye), the most common treatment for the majority of emeralds is to infuse them under pressure with (typically) cedar oil to help perceived clarity. The oil fills the tiny natural fissures in the stone, and light is reflected more evenly, rendering the gem clearer to the eye. Completely untreated emeralds, regardless of origin, which are largely free from natural inclusions are not only rare, but more often than not, prohibitively expensive. This common trade treatment makes it possible to bring many more emeralds to market that are worthy of fine jewelry, yet cost effective for the consumer.

CARE:  (IRRADIATED DIAMONDS) The diamonds require no special care apart from avoiding the direct high heat of jeweler's torches, etc, as this may sometimes cause an area of even a permanently colored stone to change slightly. It is common advice with any fine gem to avoid harsh chemicals, such as cleaning compounds, as it is sometimes hard to predict how that will affect either gems or metals holding the gems, and it is particularly good advice to avoid these with any stone that has been treated to change or enhance its color in any way, erring on the side of safety.
(COLUMBIAN EMERALD) It is important that the Emerald not be cleaned using ultrasonic or steam cleaners or be exposed to household cleaners, or strong or prolonged heat (all of which can cause the gem to lose the oil that has been used to treat natural minute internal voids to improve the gem's clarity), or rapid changes of hot to cold temperature (which may shock or crack the stone). Emerald is a softer gemstone, can easily scratch, or can crack if struck with another stone or object. It is a gem that is most typically rated poor to good in terms of everyday wear, meaning simply that an emerald requires a little care that some other gems do not. Clean by hand with an approved organic cleaner such as Jewel Brite with soft brush, and do not overscrub. Avoid rinsing in overly warm water. Never expose to hydrofluoric acid.
